I saw a nun across the street one day 
Picking flowers from a garden bed 
and strewing them about, hair astray. 
When she looked at me with eyes of red 
the “sister” stood and grinned wickedly, 
In that moment I thought for sure I was dead. 
She began to pursue me quickly 
Running, even in her habit 
Reaching, as if to take me downwardly 
a prize for the devil, to live an eternity in Satan’s pit 
but luck, or divine intervention 
caused her to fall, chomping at the bit 
I ran without stopping, glowing with elation 
at escaping a fate worse than a knuckle rap
I evaded her without hesitation
conscious that I could still fall into a trap

For I knew that a dirty nun
was five times more nasty than a clean one

July Drink and Draw

Our July Drink and Draw was a huge success!  Everyone created a sketch card which you can see in the collage above, there was a prize drawing, and of course plenty of drinking and plenty of drawing.  We also chose the next PvB theme as well.  After much discussion a little chance and a slew of nouns and adjectives jotted down on strips of paper we all chose "Dirty Nuns" as the theme for August.  So start thinking about those "Dirty Nun" submissions now.  Thanks to Alli and Joel for holding this month's drink and draw at their awesome house, and thanks to everyone who came out to support PvB and the Drink and Draw.  Hope to see everyone again at the August Drink and Draw!!!!!

Drink and Draw

Our first drink and draw was a huge successes!  We all had some delicious German beer and got a chance to sketch, talk about the blog, art, and catch up with each other.  We also chose the next PvB theme (drum role please)  the next theme for Pterodactyls vs. Babies will be "Animals dressed like other animals".  You still have 12 days to submit a piece of work for this month's theme which is of course Pterodactyls vs. Babies.  Thanks again for everyone who came out for this months drink and draw.  We hope to see everyone again at the next one and hopefully even more people!!!
